Class Development

This 1-day class is an exploration of drawn and pulled work on canvas. By combining some basic pulled thread and drawn work bands with some traditional canvas stitches, I hope to introduce canvas stitchers to some new techniques.

Comments

As a crossover stitcher, between evenweaves and canvas, I find myself more and more also crossing techniques — applying traditional evenweave techniques, such as drawn work, to canvas, and traditional canvas techniques, such as Bargello, to evenweaves. As a teacher I am very interested in pushing, prodding, and encouraging students to step out on their own and experiment with various techniques and stitches. This project meets that goal while offering canvas stitchers the comfort of the familiar.

The colors offered are :
green congress cloth with gold, coral, and green
brown congress cloth with peach, turquoise, purple, and
          brown
blue congress cloth with red, white, and blue
