Class Development

This 1-day class is the result of my experiments with the diamond shape.
I began playing with star and diamond shapes for another class and it spilled over into this one. As a counter point to my larger pieces, which are often asymmetrical, this piece is symmetrical both side-to-side and top-to-bottom. Then when I used my favorite color scheme — red, white, and blue — it just seemed perfect for Philadelphia, where I taught it for the first time.
